Gift cards can now have a discount attached to them. When the gift card is redeemed, it will also automatically apply the discount on a trip.
For example, if you have a $50 gift with an attached 20% discount on a trip, when you reserve a trip, you get $50 off PLUS 20% off the trip.
You can use this for end-of-the-year sales or holiday promotions.
How to set up gift card discounts
1. Click Company, then Gift Card Policy.
2. Choose Discount from the dropdown menu (how to create a discount here).
3. Click Save.
When clients buy a gift card from you after you've turned on the discount, the discount will automatically be added to the gift card.
When clients book a trip with you using this gift card, the gift card amount and the discount will automatically apply to the trip when they're booking.
NOTE: As long as you have the discounts selected on the Gift Card Policy page, that discount will be applied to ALL gift cards purchased. Make sure to come back to the Gift Card Policy page to turn off applying the discount to newly purchased gift cards. The discount will continue to apply as long as there is no expiration date for it on the Discounts Page.
