Want to discount a trip but your customer already booked? There's an easy work-around for this if they paid a deposit.

If they paid a deposit...

You can adjust the remaining balance in their account before they're charged. Here's how:

1. Go to Customers and click their name.

2. Click on the trip.

3. Scroll to payments.

4. To change the amount owed (retroactively give them a discount), click the pencil to update the number. For example, if they still owe $100, but you offered a 50% off discount, change the amount from $100 to $50.

5. Click Save.

If they paid in full...

Origin cannot issue full or partial refunds. This is done through Stripe. You can read how to issue partial refunds here.

You do have the ability to offer your customers a full or partial refund through gift cards if they're okay with that. Here's how to do that:

1. Go to Customers and click their name.

2. Click on the trip.

3. Scroll to Payments.

4. Click Refund to a new gift card.

5. Enter their name, email address, amount, message, and expiration.

6. Click Submit.
