Option 1:
If the pricing is fixed per person, you can make the trip Public so they can just book another spot for that person.
How to make a trip public:
1. Click Listings.
2. Click the Edit Listing icon for the listing you want to revise.
3. Scroll down to Custom Booking and uncheck the box.
Option 2:
If the pricing changes with multiple people and you're taking a deposit, you can change the amount to be collected when the remaining balance is charged.
Change amount to be collected:
Go to Customers and click their name.
Click on the trip.
Scroll toward the bottom to Payments.
Click the hand icon to collect the remaining balance.
To add additional amount owed, click the pencil to update the number.
Alternatively, if your trip has variable pricing and you have it set to collect the full payment upfront, it's easiest to refund and re-book them for the same day and the correct number of spots.
How to refund and re-book a client:
Go to Trips.
Click Bookings.
Click on the Date of Purchase.
Then click Cancel Booking in the top right corner.
On the same page, you can also click Refund via Stripe or Refund to a new gift card at the bottom of the page.
Please note: After you start a refund, Stripe submits refund requests to your customer's bank or card issuer. Your customer sees the refund as a credit approximately 5-10 business days later, depending on the bank.
Reschedule a client
1. From your dashboard, click Virtual POS in the left side panel.
2. Select the Listing and your Customer from the dropdown menus.
3. Click on the rescheduled date/time.
4. Click Book Now.
5. Complete all required fields.
6. Click Book Now to complete the reservation.
Alternatively, you can send your client a payment link for them to complete on their own:
1. From the Virtual POS page, click Payment Link.
2. Enter the Custom Link Name, Customer Name, Customer Email Address, and Customer Phone.
3. Select the listing they want to reschedule to and select the date/time.
4. Click Next: Email Payment Link.
5. Add any additional information in the Add Message box, or click Email Payment Link.
Your guest will receive an email instructing them to log into Origin to complete their reservation.
