Stripe Link at Checkout

Written by Grant White

Stripe Link is now automatically enabled in Origin to help your customers check out faster. Link securely saves a customer’s payment information so they can use it again on future bookings — not just with your business, but on any website that uses Stripe.

When Link is available, customers will see a “Pay with Link” option during checkout. If they’ve used Link before, their saved card and billing information will automatically fill in, so they don’t have to re-enter it.

How It Works for Customers

  1. At checkout, the customer enters their email or phone number.

  2. If that email or phone number is associated with a Link account, they’ll see:

    • Saved credit or debit cards

    • Saved billing details

  3. The customer confirms their payment — no extra steps needed.

If the customer has never used Link before, they may be prompted to set up a Link account (optional). Once set up, their information is saved for next time — on any Stripe-powered website.

Do I Need to Enable Anything?

No.
Link is on by default for all Origin businesses — no setup required.

Why This Helps

  • Faster checkout for returning customers

  • Fewer typing errors during payment

  • Higher completed booking rates

  • Works across all Stripe-powered websites (not just Origin)

Security

Stripe Link is managed directly by Stripe.
Payment information is not stored in Origin — it is securely encrypted and stored in Stripe’s PCI-compliant vault.
