Origin makes it easy for you or your customers to reschedule if it is needed. Whether it's moving one customer from one Public booking to another, or rescheduling an entire trip at once. Here's some info on how this feature works.
How Rescheduling works:
For another date to be available as a rescheduling option, there must be spots available and there must be a guide available with the same Category as the desired Listing.
Rescheduling one booking from a Public Trip:
If you have a public trip on the calendar with multiple bookings, but one person wants to reschedule their booking to another date, you can use the Reschedule function to find and select a new date and time to move them.
The new trip on the date you want to select must have spots available and a Guide with the correct category, as mentioned above.
If the trip you're moving to already has bookings on it, the rescheduled trip will be moved and nothing will change with the Guides.
If the rescheduled trip has no bookings on it, and rescheduling one booking will be the first on the new date, a Guide will be assigned based on your Guide Scheduling settings.
If the original trip has no more bookings left after rescheduling, then the Guide will be unassigned. Otherwise, the Guide will stay on that trip with the other bookings.
What happens to Guides when something is rescheduled?
The Guide currently assigned on the original booking will not be moved to the new date/time when rescheduled.
If the original trip is Public, and one booking on that trip is rescheduled to another, the Guide will stay on the original trip with the other bookings.
If the trip is Private, the Guide will be un-assigned from the trip when the rescheduling occurs.
If the trip is Private, when a trip has been successfully rescheduled, it will assign a new Guide to the newly rescheduled trip on the new time/date. It may coincidentally be the same Guide as before depending on your Guide Scheduling settings.
How to use the Rescheduling feature:
You can find the Reschedule options on the Booking info page.
If you click the Send Reschedule Email button, it will send that customer an email and give them access to the available dates to choose from to move their booking to.
If you click Reschedule, you will be able to use this feature yourself and select a new date for the booking.
