Waiver Set Up and Creation

How to set up and create new waivers in Origin:

Navigation: Dashboard > Waivers > Templates > Add Waiver

  1. Add your waiver(s) by clicking Waivers, then Templates.

  2. Click Add Waiver and enter the waiver name, a custom ID (to sort and track however you want), and copy/paste your waiver form into the text editor. Format however you’d like.

  3. Check Collect Date of Birth and/or Collect Address if you need to collect that information.

Assigning Waivers to Your Listings

Waivers can be assigned to your listings in two places. First you can assign waivers to your listings from the waiver template page (as seen below). Alternatively, you can choose a waiver during the listing creation process.

You can select "all listings" if you want this waiver to apply to all of your listings

Waiver Signature Statuses

There are multiple places where admins can now see the signature status of waivers.

Waiver Status on the bookings table

As seen in the screenshot below, admins can see if a booking has a pending waiver status for each individual booking.

Waiver Status at the Booking Level

Each booking will have a waiver section that now outlines how many guests have signed their waivers.

  • You will be able to see the waiver that each guest signed

  • You will be able to see if there is a minor on the trip who needs a signed waiver

  • You will also be able to see the waiver reminders that have/will be sent

Note: If you require multiple waivers per person, this will also be tracked. Not until all waivers have been signed will you see the "signed" icon.

If waivers are incomplete, you will see a notification at the top of the booking. This could mean that either the main booking starter has not invited their guests or that the guests were invited, but have not taken action yet.

Example:

In the example below - the booking is for 5 people, however only one person (the booking starter) is showing up under the waiver section. Why?

When you click "edit guests" you will notice that no guests have been invited to this trip yet, and therefore those guests have not been able to sign a waiver.

Waiver Status at the Adventure Level

Whether you are running a public or private trip, you will be also be able to track the waiver status on the adventure level across multiple bookings for that trip.

Waiver Settings and Notifications

Origin now supports a wide veriety of notification settings when it comes to waivers! You can find these settings under "notification settings" by navigating to Waivers > Notification Settings.

You can adjust waiver notifications on the company, listings, booking, and customer level.

By default these settings are all toggled on to ensure that your guests receive the proper notifications to sign their waivers. In the event that you would like to adjust, you can navigate to the account level that you want to change and toggle those settings off.
